The Spring Clean | The Supplement Plan

This supplement plan will help you glow inside and out …. it is basically high in antioxidants and very supportive to the liver, which if we are giving ourselves a break from the normal rubbish we eat and drink will probably be working quite hard and be in  need of a little support!

This is designed to give a real boost to the body, and will help get your gut working better, your metabolism back on track and hopefully help to reduce any cravings. These changes should continue after the two weeks and after you have finished the supplements as you will have done a lot of work to reset yourself!

When it comes to supplements it really is ‘you get what you pay for’! So make sure you get a good quality supplement.

With the following protocol, please take them until you have finished the pot, you should not need to continue after that, I would hope that you will be eating the perfect diet full of nutritious food and won’t need supplementation.

IF however you feel you do still feel rubbish then come and see me or go and see a healthcare professional to go through what is going on for you.

AND IF you don’t feel well at any point try to take a day off and return to the protocol the following day, if the feelings persists then step away from the supplements and go through it with a professional. They are quite directed supplements and you may experience a headache or some fatigue with the whole program.

Psyllium Husk – The idea of this product is to help get your digestion moving and help the body get rid of toxins. a teaspoon in a glass of water twice a day.

NAC – this provides the body with an amino acid called l-cysteine. L-cysteine is one of the amino acids used as building blocks for protein in the body. This is a great, great liver and immune supporting supplement. If you are a big drinker, sugar eater or coffee drinker this will really help you along the road to ‘Sainthood!’… no seriously it is fantastic for you. Take 500 mg 3 times a day

Alpha Lipoid Acid – This is great for everyday health but particularly good for your blood sugar levels and helps the production of glutathione in the body which, is the ‘mother of all antioxidants’ and our production of it goes down as we get older! Take 300 mg 3 times a day.

Turmeric (Curcuma) –  One of my fave ingredients, it has significant antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties. Take 50 mg twice a day.

Vitamin C – this contributes to the function of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress caused by ‘free radicals’. Its one of the most common vitamins around and is super useful when our immune system is being stressed by toxins!

Directions: Take 2,000mg for the 2 week period, then 1000mg for the following 2 weeks. is a good website for supplements. Read the label always I like brands such as Nutri Advanced, Allergy Research, Lamberts, Higher Nature but there are lots to choose from.
