Christmas…New Year…. the most indulgent time of year leaves most with the ‘uggghhhhh’ feeling…. You often feel a bit low on energy and lack motivation.
So I’ve created a 5 Day plan to rebuild and revamp yourself back to where you were before December happened! – with a little help from my book ‘Juice’, I am going to be using the 3 day juice detox from it!- This can be done whenever you’re ready but why wait? Go into January with a positive start! I promise you will feel great by the end and I will be doing it with you and guiding you through it!
So the 5 days will go something like this ….
Days 1 and 2 are to help your body start to let go of toxins and ease you into it, so please avoid coffee and alcohol… it is only for 5 days!
Day 1 – Nutrient Dense Meal Plan 1
Day 2 – Smoothie & Soup Meal Plan 2
Day 3/4/5 – Juice Fast
Focus and commitment are needed to do a juice fast for 3 days. If you have concerns about your health, i would advise that you check your doctor before embarking on it. It is quite intense doing 3 days, but the benefits are huge and you will feel like a different person by the end of it. You need to plan ahead and set aside a good tine to do it. I recommend doing a 3-day fast once every 6 months.
If you can continue to work and go about a busy schedule as normal, then you can start your fast midweek. However, I advise starting on a Friday morning and ending on Monday morning, because allowing yourself time to sleeping relax is an essential part of the process. I would recommend a yoga session and maybe a massage for you to look forward to on days 2 and 3.
You will be going even deeper with this detox, and it is really important that you give yourself a head start and eat a clean diet full of nutrient-dense ingredients beforehand, which means no dairy, refined sugar, caffeine or alcohol for at least a week before. Eat a diet full of vegetables and fruit, lean proteins, healthy fats and complex carbs. The body needs to be stocked with nutrients that will support you and your liver during the coming detox.
